Sunflowers are known for being a happy flower and they symbolize loyalty, longevity and adoration. Sunflowers originated in the Americas around 1,000 b.c. They were first cultivated as a food source for many centuries, but as more and more people came to explore the new world, the popularity of the flower because of its beauty spread. Throughout history, artists have been fixated on the sunflower, especially in the Impressionist era.
I've been interested in photography since I was very young, but only took a serious interest a few years ago. I enjoy shooting close-ups, macro and abstract photographs the most, but landscapes and seascapes are so beautiful I find myself shooting those a lot too. Take a look through my gallery.
